I have always had a fascination with trains since my childhood. I was assigned a thesis project during my senior year at West Chester University and chose to do something related to trains. I created a fictional 501-C3 non-profit organization called "The J-3A Empire Trust". The organization's goal is to build a steam locomotive from scratch by using existing blueprints and photographs. For historical context, the two locomotives of this type were built in 1941 for the New York Central System Railroad, and both were in service for only four years. I was inspired by the T1 Trust, an organization building 4-4-4-4 duplex steam locomotive from the rails up. I created a website using Adobe XD, which includes a video, images, and merchandise.
